Ideal for those starting a career on deck. This internationally recognised course adds real value to your CV and prepares you for the demands of working on board.
This one-day course is essential for anyone working on board a superyacht. It covers the safe and correct use of marine VHF radios — something you'll use daily, whether you're driving tenders, managing guest transfers, or communicating with the bridge.
The IYT Marine Communications (VHF-SRC) certificate is internationally recognised, including by the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and meets global standards for both recreational and commercial use.
You’ll learn how to operate onboard and handheld radios, understand EPIRBs, SARTs, AIS, and DSC-enabled systems, and follow proper procedures in both routine and emergency situations.
Who it's for? All departments — deck, interior, bridge, and beyond. If you're using a radio on board (and you will be), this course gives you the knowledge and confidence to communicate clearly and safely.
